Celebrate the season with an evening of creativity and crafting!

Join us for a special holiday edition of Hues & Brews as we gather to make colorful, one-of-a-kind lanterns for the Art Base’s first-ever annual Lantern Parade. Enjoy some festive cheer and connect with friends, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and allies in a welcoming, relaxed space.

Supplies, holiday snacks, and drinks provided.

No art experience necessary—just come as you are and let your light shine! We’ll create lanterns together and get ready to illuminate Basalt or your own personal window.

This holiday art night is free, but registration is required.

Generously sponsored by ASPEN OUT.

Keep the celebration going!

Bring your handmade lantern back on Friday, December 11, 2026, for the Lantern Parade: Light the Way Basalt!

The parade departs from the Art Base at 6:15 PM, traveling down Midland Avenue to Lions Park, where we’ll arrive in time for the community tree lighting.

After the parade, return to the Art Base for snacks, drinks, and more holiday festivities.

The parade is free and open to everyone, and all are welcome to join! The parade route is accessible and open to everyone: whether you walk, use a wheelchair, mobility scooter, stroller, or another mobility aid, we invite you to join us!
