Youth Art Academy: Mosaics (3-Part Series)

Young artists will design and create their own colorful mosaic tray in this fun, hands-on three-part series. This class is made for older students who want to stretch their art skills. Using pre-cut glass and ceramic tiles (no glass cutting required), students explore pattern, color, and texture while learning the fundamentals of mosaic art.

Over three sessions, kids will:

• First, plan and sketch their tray design.

• Then, arrange and glue pre-cut tiles onto a wooden tray base.

• Finally, safely apply grout and polish the finished piece.

With step-by-step guidance and plenty of creative freedom, each student will build a vibrant, functional mosaic tray to take home or gift. Along the way, the class encourages creativity, patience, and craftsmanship in a supportive classroom.

All materials are provided, and no prior experience is needed. This is a perfect opportunity for students to learn, explore, and have fun creating.

New Registration Process: Lottery System

Due to overwhelming demand for our Free Tuesday Art After School program, we are introducing a lottery system to ensure fair access for all students.

How it works:

• First, submit your child’s information using the form linked below.

• Then, on the 15th of each month, we will randomly draw names for the following month’s classes.

• Finally, families will be notified by email with an enrollment link. Be sure to save our email to your contacts!

Important notes:

• After participating once, students must wait until the next semester before entering again, allowing more children to take part.

• Additionally, only one submission per child per semester is needed (Oct–Dec and Jan–Apr).

• To enter the lottery for fall, please complete the form by September 12 at 5:00 PM.

We’re excited to continue offering this free opportunity, and we greatly appreciate your support as we work to make it accessible to as many families as possible.

Debido a una abrumadora demanda por nuestras clases gratuitas de arte los martes después de escuela (3:30-5:00 pm), estaremos implementando un sistema de lotería para asegurar un acceso justo a todos los estudiantes.

1. Así es como funcionará: Envía la información de tu hijo(a) llenando la forma que encontrarás en el enlace de abajo.
2. El día 15 de cada mes, sortearemos nombres aleatoriamente para las clases de los meses siguientes.

Después de participar en una ocasión, los estudiantes deberán esperar hasta el siguiente semestre antes de entrar nuevamente, de esta forma más niños y niñas tendrán la oportunidad de participar.
