Let’s make art an adventure!

Mondays: MIDDLE SCHOOL ART

We are excited to be partnering with Access Second Shift this semester! This program will run for nine weeks, with Basalt Middle School students walking over to the Art Base alongside a liaison each Monday. Please plan to pick up your child promptly at 5:00 PM at the Art Base.

This after-school art class is a creative playground for middle school students who love to make, experiment, and try new things. Students will explore drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media while learning fun techniques, creative shortcuts, and problem-solving skills. The class also introduces students to AI as a creative tool, with age-appropriate lessons focused on using it thoughtfully and responsibly. Emphasis is placed on experimentation, layering, and discovering personal style—without pressure to be “perfect.” Each session fosters curiosity, confidence, and self-expression in a supportive, low-stress environment where students can connect with friends and enjoy the process of making art.

New Registration Process: Lottery System

Due to overwhelming demand for our Free Tuesday Art Afterschool, we are introducing a lottery system to ensure fair access for all students.

How it works:

  1. Submit your child’s information using the form linked below.

  2. On the 15th of each month, we will randomly draw names for the following month’s classes.

  3. Families will be notified by email with an enrollment link. Make sure you have our email saved!

Important notes:

  • After participating once, students must wait until the next semester before entering again, so more children can take part.

  • Only one submission per child per semester is needed (Oct–Dec and Jan–Apr).

  • To enter the lottery for fall, please complete the form by September 12 at 5:00 PM.

We’re excited to continue offering this free opportunity and appreciate your support as we work to make it accessible to as many families as possible.
