Glass-like surface, marbelized color flows, stained color fields or faux-encaustic looks are all possible when you know the right combination of acrylic mediums and paints. In this workshop we’ll use several clear mediums, Fluid acrylics, and High flow Acrylics. We’ll also use Acrylic Flow Release to pour and stain raw canvas. These techniques will show you how to use paint in a more abstract manner….going with the flow! We’ll a use heavier gel with interference paint to give the look of encaustic or wax painting that much more easily done in acrylic. This is a great overview of how and when to use each product for these more abstract color techniques. You’ll create 4 small scale pieces using each application…. great way to loosen up and see what the paints can do! All Golden paints and mediums included in class fee.
