We are excited to be partnering with Access Second Shift this semester! This program will run for five weeks, with Basalt Middle School students walking over to the Art Base alongside a liaison each Monday. Please plan to pick up your child promptly at 5:00 PM at the Art Base.

Art on the Edge is a dynamic and expressive after-school art class designed for middle school students who are eager to push creative boundaries and explore unconventional art forms. Through engaging projects such as comic drawing, graffiti art, skateboard painting, and innovative design, students will not only develop technical skills but also discover their unique artistic voice. This class encourages bold self-expression, experimentation, and imagination in a supportive environment, giving young artists the freedom to create work that feels fresh, edgy, and exciting while building confidence in their creative abilities.

ART AFTER SCHOOL (TUESDAYS)

In each session, students will explore a theme through different mediums such as collage, painting, sculpture, drawing, the elements of design, paper crafts, textiles and more!

Students meet an Art Base staff member at the flagpole, outside BES, at 3:30 PM and walk to the Art Base. Join us for a series of fun classes that teach students how to think creatively and express themselves through art.

We have made a change in how to register, please read below:

Due to overwhelming demand for our Free Tuesday Afterschool Art Classes (3:30–5:00pm), we will be implementing a lottery system to ensure fair access for all students.

Here’s how it works: Submit your child’s information by completing the form linked below. On the 15th of each month, we will randomly draw names for the following month’s classes. Families will be notified by email, which will include an enrollment link. After participating once, students will need to wait until the next semester before entering again, so more children have the chance to join. To enter the lottery, please complete the form by September 12 at 5:00pm. (Only one submission per child is needed each semester (Oct-Dec and Jan-April.) We are excited to continue offering this free opportunity and truly appreciate your support as we work to make it accessible to as many families as possible.

We are offering three sessions in the first semester: Session 1 – October 7, 14, 21, 28, Session 2 – November 4, 11, 18, Session 3 – December 2, 9, 16

Debido a una abrumadora demanda por nuestras clases gratuitas de arte los martes después de escuela (3:30-5:00 pm), estaremos implementando un sistema de lotería para asegurar un acceso justo a todos los estudiantes.

Así es como funcionará: Envía la información de tu hijo(a) llenando la forma que encontrarás en el enlace de abajo. El día 15 de cada mes, sortearemos nombres aleatoriamente para las clases de los meses siguientes. Las familias serán notificadas por correo electrónico, el cual incluirá un enlace para el  registro. Después de participar en una ocasión, los estudiantes deberán esperar hasta el siguiente semestre antes de entrar nuevamente, de esta forma más niños y niñas tendrán la oportunidad de participar. Para participar en la lotería, por favor completa la forma antes del 12 de septiembre a las 5:00 pm. (Solo se necesita un registro por niño(a) cada semestre). Estamos emocionados de continuar ofreciendo esta oportunidad gratuita y apreciamos sinceramente tu apoyo mientras trabajamos en hacerlo accesible para tantas familias como sea posible.

ART BASE ACADEMY

Develop and maximize your child’s art interest as they develop a higher level of skills and knowledge. Students will learn advanced art techniques and will enjoy a playground of creativity where young minds are nurtured to think outside the box and experiment and discover their unique artistic voice. Art activities are taught in a supportive environment and range from advanced painting and drawing to mixed media.

PICK UP AT BASALT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (After School Classes)

Students attending Basalt Elementary School will meet at the elementary school flagpole after school to walk over to the Art Base with an Art Base staff member. Parents pick up their children from the Art Base.
