SUMMARY:Exhibition: Inner Workings - Staff Show
DESCRIPTION:On view: December 11\, 2026 to January 2\, 2027\nOpening Reception: Friday\, December 11 from 5 PM- 7 PM\nArtist Talk: Friday\, December 11 at 5:30 PM \n  \nInner Workings brings together the artists who shape the Art Base on the ground; our staff and instructors. This lighthearted exhibition offers a look into the creative practices that unfold behind the scenes\, highlighting the ideas\, experiments\, and personal work that run parallel to our community programs. Rather than a “secret life\,” this show reveals the true character of our organization: a network of thoughtful\, committed local artists whose practices embody our mission and values.   \n  \nThank you to our generous 2026 Annual Exhibition Sponsor\, Alpine Bank \n \n

SUMMARY:Exhibition: Lindsey Yeager
DESCRIPTION:On view: December 11\, 2026 to January 2\, 2027\nOpening Reception: Friday\, December 11\, from 5 PM- 7 PM\n \n  \nLindsey Yeager creates large-scale gouache paintings that explore disconnection\, grief\, transformation\, and the emotional weight of living in a rapidly changing world. Their work merges personal narrative with broader cultural anxieties\, examining loss\, fear\, and the longing to be understood. Through vivid imagery and metaphor\, the paintings probe the messy\, creature-like experience of navigating a world that often feels uninhabitable. \n  \nThank you to our generous 2026 Annual Exhibition Sponsor\, Alpine Bank \n \n

SUMMARY:Tuesdays: Free Are After School
DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Sophie Catto\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOctober 6\, 13\, 20\, 27\, 2026\nTuesdays\, 3:30-5:00 PM\nGrades 1 – 4\nFree\nNovember 3\, 10\, 17\, 2026\nTuesdays\, 3:30-5:00 PM\nGrades 1 – 4\nFree\nDecember 1\, 8\, 15\, 2026\nTuesdays\, 3:30-5:00 PM\nGrades 1 – 4\nFree\nRegistration for all fall Art After School classes opens September 14\, 2026.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFree Art After School classes for elementary students provide a fun\, welcoming space where kids can explore their creativity and imagination. \nThrough hands-on projects\, students will experiment with drawing\, painting\, collage\, mixed media\, and more while building foundational art skills along the way. Classes emphasize creativity\, curiosity\, and self-expression rather than perfection\, helping young artists build confidence\, take creative risks\, and enjoy the process of making art. \nIn a supportive and encouraging environment\, students will try new materials\, make new friends\, and experience the joy of creating something uniquely their own. \nAn Art Base staff member will meet enrolled students at the BES flagpole immediately after school and walk them to the Art Base. Parents and caregivers should pick up students at the Art Base at the end of class. \nTo help give as many children as possible the opportunity to participate in Free Art After School\, please register your child for only one session of classes. \nQuestions about Art After School? Please contact Holly at holly@theartbase.org.
