SUMMARY:Exhibition: Chris Hassig
DESCRIPTION:On view: November 6 to December 4\, 2026\nOpening Reception: Friday\, November 6 from 5 PM- 7 PM\nArtist Talk: Friday\, November 6 at 5:30 PM \n  \nChris Hassig (b. 1987) is an artist and community leader based in Carbondale\, Colorado\, whose intricate drawings and prints blur the boundaries between landscape\, abstraction\, and imagined worlds. Rooted in a lifelong fascination with mapping and mark-making\, Hassig’s work ranges from expansive multi-panel etchings of his fictional country\, Saiopor\, to densely detailed ink drawings inspired by close observations of nature. His practice merges precision and play\, incorporating printmaking\, cyanotype\, collage\, and sewn elements that highlight both meticulous craftsmanship and improvisation.\ \n\nThank you to our generous 2026 Annual Exhibition Sponsor\, Alpine Bank

SUMMARY:Exhibition: Rachel Becker "Net-work: Weaving the World"
DESCRIPTION:On view: November 6 to December 4\, 2026\nOpening Reception: Friday\, November 6 from 5 PM- 7 PM\nArtist Talk: Friday\, November 6 at 5:30 PM \n  \nRachel Becker brings a series that explores weaving\, webs\, and networks as structures that connect\, hold\, and move vital energy. Constructed from found and foraged materials: branches\, plant fibers\, fishing line\, and produce netting\, the lightweight hanging sculptures reference nets\, tapestries\, and natural systems. Installed as an immersive canopy\, the works invite visitors to step inside the visible and invisible networks that shape our world\, from mycelial pathways to the “World Wide Web.” Drawing inspiration from ancient textile traditions and the mythic weaver goddesses of pre-medieval Europe\, the project reflects on how the threads of fate\, ecology\, and technology intertwine. \n\nThank you to our generous 2026 Annual Exhibition Sponsor\, Alpine Bank

SUMMARY:Fall Wellness Series - Immersive Sound & Watercolor Journey: with Megan DiSabatino
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of deep transformational soul creation\, hosted in The Art Base Gallery \nNovember 15\, 2026\nSunday\, 2:00PM – 4:30PM\nAll supplies provided\nNo experience necessary \nExperience an afternoon that weaves together immersive sound healing and intuitive watercolor painting. We’ll begin with a guided sound journey\, allowing the vibrations\, imagery\, and emotions that arise to inspire your creative process. From there\, you’ll translate your experience into color and paint\, moving back and forth between sound and art as each informs the other. This gentle\, process-based workshop encourages presence\, self-expression\, and curiosity rather than creating a perfect finished piece.  \nRegister\n  \n \nMegan DiSabatino\nThe healing and visual arts have always been the heartbeat of Megan’s life. She was raised in a family of yogis and artists\, where creativity and consciousness flowed freely. Over 25 years ago\, Megan followed a deep\, undeniable calling that led her to Australia to immerse herself in the study of sound healing\, yoga\, and energy work. \nSound—one of the oldest forms of medicine—resonates through every culture across the globe. Its roots run deep\, tracing back thousands of years to the Indigenous people of Australia\, who used ancient tones and rhythms to restore balance and wellbeing. That lineage called to Megan. \nHer journey with higher frequencies and the healing arts has since taken her across the world—from the sacred lands of India to the lush spiritual enclaves of Bali\, and then back to the United States\, where she has had the honor of teaching in San Francisco\, New York City\, and now her beloved hometown of Aspen. \nEach place\, each teacher\, and each moment has shaped the work Megan offers today—a fusion of ancient wisdom and intuitive healing\, expressed through sound\, movement\, and the creative spirit.
